The Air Force conducted tests of new warhead technology at the
White Sands Missile Range, NM recently. The test missile carried an
experimental Earth penetrator which, upon impact, buried two sensor
packages in solid granite. The Air Force said the sensors will provide
data for high-velocity weapons penetration into rock and other hard
